Howard Bernard Nelson was born in Philadelphia, Pa on June 23, 1968 to Elizabeth and Howard Nelson. He was affectionately called "Bernie" by his family. Howard attended the Philadelphia Public School System and later moved to Sicklerville, NJ with his family to complete his education.

Howard dedicated over 10 years of service to Wyest-Ayest Pharmaceutical Company/Baxter Healthcare Corporation. He referred to many of his work friends as family and always greeted them with a "warm smile". This "warm smile" was the norm for Howard along with his magnetic personality. These same charming and sincere traits is what drew Lakisha and Howard together in matrimony in 1999. His easy going manner created a comfortable atmosphere which made him easy to love.

He enjoyed fishing with his Dad, taking his children on outings, and riding with his motorcycle club, the Cyclepaths. And of course, Howard always remained loyal to his Eagles. Every year he held out hope that the Eagles would win the Super Bowl.
Howard leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Lakisha; his children: Lacey, Chris, Jada, Jenna, and Alyanna; Brothers: Rodney, Martin, Damon and Myles; Sisters: Annette, Angie, Valerie and Kim; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends: Fred, Gary, Nigel, Joe and countless others.
